Who I Am

I'm an AI Engineer and content creator passionate about building AI software that serves humanity.

My Journey

For nearly 30 years, I was a full-stack software Engineer specializing in Python, C#, .NET, software architecture, and CI/CD. That changed in 2023 when I first used ChatGPT 3.5. I'd just spent 4 hours coding a solution. Curious, I fed the same requirements to ChatGPT—30 seconds later, it produced better code that worked on the first try.

That was my "Oh F***" moment. I realized that AI would only continue to improve, and I had two choices: either to embrace it or to find a new profession. I chose to embrace it and learn everything I could.

Why "Insights & Iterations"

The name reflects this journey—sharing insights while iterating on ideas. "Iterations" also nods to my programming background, where iteration drives progress.

My Approach

I believe in craftsmanship, simplicity, and efficient processes. When I'm not working, I enjoy life in Folsom, CA, with my wife Erin, our daughter, and our cat Mango.

My goal is simple: to share the AI lessons I'm learning, so you can apply them to your own life in your way. Whether it's a new tool, technique, or perspective—if it helps even one person work smarter or think differently about AI, I've succeeded.
